The journey began in early 2024, heading west through the changing landscapes of America—from the palm trees of South Florida to the red rocks of Arizona. I spent hours in the passenger seat of our 32-foot Winnebago, watching the world roll by through the big front window. Small towns, open highways, endless skies—and mailbox after mailbox lining the road. Some were leaning sideways, a little rusty, forgotten by time. Others were proudly upright but plain as a paper bag. And then, every so often, one would stop me in my tracks—a pop of unexpected color, a hand-painted detail, something that said, “someone lives here who cares.” 

 Those little bursts of personality on the side of the road stayed with me. They reminded me that even the most ordinary things—like a mailbox—can say something special about the people behind the door. I started to wonder: what if every home had a mailbox that made folks smile as they passed by? Something bright, welcoming, and uniquely theirs?

By the time we reached the Florida Panhandle on our return, the idea had taken root in my mind. I wasn’t just dreaming about mailboxes—I was imagining a whole collection of painted designs, each one crafted with care and built to last. A mailbox wasn’t just a place for letters; it could be a statement, a piece of art, and a proud welcome to any home.

And so, from that road trip inspiration, my Designer Mailboxes journey began—transforming ordinary mailboxes into charming, personalized front yard treasures, one colorful spray at a time.
